Shaik Ahmed Ali is a senior journalist, editor, and media strategist with close to three decades of experience across print, television, digital media, and political communications. Having worked with some of India’s most respected media organisations, he brings a rare combination of editorial rigour, field reporting experience, and strategic media consulting expertise.
He began his journalism career in the early 1990s as a student contributor with All India Radio, where he produced and recorded short-format talk shows. His professional reporting journey took shape in 1996 with Indian Press Today (IPT), followed by stints at Andhra Pradesh Times, The Times of India (Hyderabad edition), and Deccan Chronicle, where he covered crime, civic administration, urban affairs, and minority issues. At The Times of India, he contributed several high-impact stories, including 73 front-page reports as part of the landmark “Let’s Save Charminar” campaign.

In 2003, he moved to television journalism as the State Correspondent for Andhra Pradesh at Star News (now ABP News), handling reporting, camera work, editing, and exclusive interviews. He later served as Bureau Chief for the Network-18 group (2005–2010), reporting for CNN-IBN, CNBC TV18, CNBC Awaaz, and IBN-7. During this phase, he covered major national and regional developments, including the Satyam scam, and high-profile events involving President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, and successive Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh.
In 2003, he moved to television journalism as the State Correspondent for Andhra Pradesh at Star News (now ABP News), handling reporting, camera work, editing, and exclusive interviews. He later served as Bureau Chief for the Network-18 group (2005–2010), reporting for CNN-IBN, CNBC TV18, CNBC Awaaz, and IBN-7. Between 2010 and 2011, he conceptualised and led editorial operations for a local Urdu cable news channel on a freelance basis. From 2011 onwards, he worked with Indian News Network (INN) as a freelancer designated as Editor, anchoring and producing over 2,000 news bulletins between 2019 and 2025.
In 2013, Shaik Ahmed Ali founded Hyderabad Digital Media Services (HDMS) as a political media and communications consultancy. Over the last 10–11 years, he has written more than 6,000 political press releases for senior leaders across party lines, including Shri Uttam Kumar Reddy and Shri Mohammed Ali Shabbir, and has briefly handled assignments for leaders such as Shri A. Revanth Reddy, Shri Bhatti Vikramarka, and Shri Maheshwar Reddy, apart from non-political organisations. He has also edited over a dozen English-language books, primarily focused on politics, governance, and public affairs.
In February 2025, he exited INN to fully scale HDMS into a comprehensive digital media, publishing, and political consulting venture. Under his leadership, HDMS has launched HyderabadNewsHunt.com and CharminarNews.in, with several other platforms in the pipeline, including TelanganaExpress.in, TheTelanganaPost.in, NewsAge.in, IshqWishq.com, ArzKiyaHai.in, and HumHyderabadi.in. He has also conceptualised and deployed multiple GPT-based AI tools tailored for newsroom workflows, editorial efficiency, and SEO-driven publishing.
From October 2016 to November 2025, Shaik Ahmed Ali handled media branding and strategic communications for the Hon’ble Irrigation & Civil Supplies Minister of Telangana, Shri Uttam Kumar Reddy, and still serving as Media Consultant to the Hon’ble Advisor to the Telangana Government, Shri Mohammed Ali Shabbir. He continues to provide selective media strategy, content development, and press communications support to senior political leaders from the Congress, BRS, and BJP.
